Ethique is the world’s first zero-waste beauty company. They use biodegradable ingredients and compostable packaging so all their solid bars leave no trace. These solid beauty bars are formulated without water, so they are super concentrated and last 3-6 times longer than bottled products. By switching to beauty bars, you’re saving plastic bottles from going to landfills. Ethique is New Zealand’s highest-scoring BCorp as well as carbon fibre neutral and living ware employer.
They launched a Super Soap Project on April 21st 2020. Donating more than 20,000 bars of hand soap to vulnerable communities, across New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Also in honour of Earth Day 2020, they launched a tree-planting initiative. For every order placed on their website, they will plant a tree (or mangrove), with their partner Offset Earth, a gold standard accredited carbon credit provider.
So far they have saved over 12 million plastic bottles from entering landfills, and they are just getting started: their next goal is half a billion by 2030!
