Painted dogs face many threats in the wild, with loss of quality habitat and poaching representing the biggest problems. Painted Dog Conservation works in Zimbabwe to reduce poaching and snaring, and has removed 30,000 snares from painted dog habitat since 2001, which would’ve had the potential to kill 3,000 animals.
