Just something to celebrate National Cougar Day, a day when we celebrate and give appreciation to a well-known cat native to the Americas. Being the second largest cat of the Americas after the Jaguar, the cougar may look like a big cat, but it’s actually the largest member of the subfamily, Felinae (aka small cats), making it closer related to the jaguarundi, the cheetah, and even the domestic cat than lions or tigers.
